الجامعة الأمريكية في الكويت “AUK” تعقد ندوة افتراضية حول التوعية المالية للشباب للدكتورة وفاء سبيتي بالتعاون مع اتحاد المصارف

استضافت الدكتورة وفاء سبيتي أستاذة التمويل في الجامعة الأمريكية في الكويت (AUK) ندوة عبر الإنترنت بالتعاون مع اتحاد مصارف الكويت لمناقشة أهمية الوعي المالي لدى الشباب، بما في ذلك التحديات التي تطرحها الأمية المالية وحلولها.

بدأت الدكتورة وفاء الندوة عبر الإنترنت من خلال استعراض الإحصائيات التي تسلط الضوء على خطورة القضية المطروحة موضحة أن 70٪ من الناس يفتقرون ماليًا – على حد قولها – كما تم تقديم أمثلة على الشخصيات الشهيرة والبارزة الذين كانوا بارعين في كسب المال ولكن ليس في إدارته.

واوضحت قائلة أنه “لا يكفي أن يكون لديك المال، فالأمر يتعلق بكيفية حماية هذه الأموال وكيفية الاحتفاظ بها وإدارتها وتنميتها”.

و أوضحت الدكتورة وفاء أن السببين الرئيسيين وراء عدم وجود ثقافة مالية في جميع أنحاء العالم هما “نقص التعليم المالي في النظام التعليمي” و “نقص المعرفة المالية لدى الأسر“.

واستندت الى 20 عاما من الخبرة في المجال المالي، اذ علقت الدكتورة وفاء على مدى خطورة هذا القصور في الوعي المالي قائلة“يمكنني القول بكل ثقة أنه لا يوجد تعليم رسمي عندما يتعلق الأمر بالثقافة المالية والتمويل الشخصي” موضحة أن “معظم الشباب يعوّل على الأهل لتعليمه المهارات المالية” بينما يقوم قلة قليلة من الآباء بمناقشة المواضيع المتعلقة بالأموال مع أولادهم.

واختتمت الندوة من قبل الدكتورة وفاء حيث شجعت الجمهور على أن يكونوا أعضاء فاعلين في المجتمع من خلال السعي إلى أن يصبحوا أكثر إلماما بالشؤون المالية، مشددة على اهمية تحمل المسؤولية في هذا المجال وضرورة الادراك انك لست وحد حيث يمكنك  التواصل مع الأشخاص المهتمين في نفس المجال وحضور ورش العمل والدورات التدريبية  والاستفادة منها قدر المستطاع.

من خلال الندوة أوصلت للحاضرين أهمية تنظيم الإنفاق والادخار و وضع أهداف مالية، و الاستمرارية في الالتزام.

والأهم من ذلك، حرصت الدكتورة وفاء على أن يكون كل فرد من الجمهور – بما في ذلك الطلاب وموظفي البنوك على حدٍ سواء–قد أدرك أن الثقافة المالية ليست مستحيلة لأنه في النهاية “ليس عليك أن تكون عبقريًا للمشاركة في هذه العملية بل عليك فقط أن تكون مستعدًا وتتخذ الإجراءات وتكون على استعداد للتعلم.
